Programs

- The philosophy of the Town of Dallas Parks & Recreation Department is that sportsmanship, fairness, teamwork and respect for others takes the forefront over winning. Our promise is to promote and protect the interest and welfare of all children that participate in our programs. We pledge to provide fun and safe athletic programs for our children to learn the fundamentals of sports, build self-confidence and self-esteem, physical fitness, discipline, commitment and leadership.

DALLAS WILDCATS CHEER INFORMATION
REGISTER NOW, PAY LATER!!! (Registration fee still TBD)
REGISTRATION MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE JUNE 1

What is included in the registration fee?
• Insurance, use of tumble/stunt equipment
• At least 14 weeks of skill training, certification for competition
• At least 9 weeks of sideline game day cheering
• Awards Ceremony, & Team Trophy.

Paperwork required
• An original birth certificate (not a copy), a proof of address, report card, a physical good through the duration of the season (Nov 30)
• Paperwork must be turned in prior to our certification date.

Home field
• Our home games are played at North Gaston High School

Where, When, and How Often is Practice?
• Practice during Aug-Nov is held at Carr School, Cloninger Park, or Jaggers Park in Dallas
• Cheer will practice 2 or 3 nights a week and will be determined by each head coach

What equipment is provided?
• There is no needed equipment.
• Cheerleaders must arrive to practice in appropriate attire including tennis shoes.
• Closed toed shoes only (no crocs, boots, flip flops
• Parents are responsible for purchasing their child’s uniform and it is yours to keep at the end of the season.

How long is the season?
• Practice will begin the 1st week of August.
• The 1st game is typically the 1st Saturday in September. All games are played on Saturdays.
• The regular season typically lasts 9 weeks followed by up to 3 weeks of playoffs.
